Buffalo, Wyoming !

We headed out of Cody today, knowing we had a tall mountain pass to cross !  When we got to the base of the mountain in Greybull we learned that Hwy 14 was closed so we had to go south to  Worland and take Hwy 16 over to Buffalo.  We went from 4602 feet to an elevation of 9668 and believe me we felt it.  We were all drinking tall glasses of ice water to help us adjust...as you will recall we learned this in Williams, Arizona.  Coming down the other side into Buffalo was horrid....not unsafe but so steep and with the RV you need to avoid riding the brakes as much as possible.  It's pins and needles time when we cross the mountains but we made it and we are sitting at an elevation of 4645 here in Buffalo.

We saw the sign just out of the mountains and we zeroed in on the word Exceptional !  This is going to be a nice place....60 channels on the cable connection and full hook-ups.  We are here today and tomorrow before we head to Mount Rushmore !  xxoo TML

CROSSING THE PASS ON HWY 16

We had 3 or 4 hairpin turns to reach the summit !
